QWhat are the precautions to take during blood oxygen monitoring?

A

The subject needs to remain quiet; place the blood oxygen probe at the appropriate position on the patient's finger, and the probe cable should be placed on the back of the hand (with the nail surface facing upwards); continuous monitoring of the same area for a long time is not allowed; do not use the blood oxygen probe and the blood pressure cuff on the same arm; dirt on the finger or nail polish on the nail surface can also affect the measurement data; try to avoid direct exposure of the blood oxygen probe to strong external light.
